Sam Kirzner, a lifelong Tulsan, joined Hunger Free Oklahoma in January of 2020. He brings to the team his experience in community coalition work and a deep personal passion for improving food access and nutrition. His professional background is in community research and advocacy. During his career he has worked with senior organizations in Tulsa to research community perspectives on senior service utilization, and with rural Oklahoma communities to raise awareness about opioid misuse and develop strategies for combating the opioid epidemic. He enjoys engaging community organizations in systems change to impact population health.
Sam earned his BS in Psychology from the University of Tulsa, and his MPH from the University of Oklahoma.
